Adoption and Fostering in Enfield

We believe that it’s in the best interests of every child to have a stable and supportive home life. By giving them the chance to grow and develop in a family environment, fostering and adoption help to ensure that looked after children in Enfield enjoy the best possible chances in life. Fostering involves caring for children while their parents are unable to, whereas adoption provides children with a permanent home. Bringing a child into your home is a major decision, so we have created this website to give you an introduction to both areas.

Adoption

In Enfield, we believe that people from all backgrounds and walks of life can make wonderful adoptive parents. So when it comes to adoption, we don’t look for a specific set of qualities or talents. Instead, we look for people who can make a lifelong commitment to a child who needs permanence, stability and a loving home.

We hope you find our information helpful. But if you have any further questions, please contact the Adoption and Permanence Team with our Adoption contact page, or by phone on 020 8379 8490.
